ImpactMapper allows you to tag your reports in Word or PDF format. However, uploading your reports in PDF format provides a smoother tagging experience as your report retains its original formatting, graphics, and images exactly as they appear. This feature is not available for Word documents.
Below are some tips you can employ to optimize your experience when tagging your PDF reports.
Before highlighting text, ensure the tag group you will use is expanded, making the tag names fully visible.
2. Once the tag names are visible, highlight your text, then click on the appropriate tag name. Successfully tagged text will be highlighted in yellow and look like the image below.
3. There are some instances that you need to tag the same text several times. To do this, hover your mouse on the text or paragraph you want to tag again. Click and hold the alt key
(or option key on a Mac) on your keyboard, this will make the yellow highlight disappear. While still holding the alt key, highlight the text that you want to tag again and click the appropriate tag name (be sure though that before highlighting your text, you have already expanded the tag group as noted in #1 above). Once done, release the alt key. You will see that text now has several tags applied to it and the double tagged text will have a darker purple shade.
