How do I use the Organization Dictionary?

Use the Organization Dictionary to change data labels appearing on the global map, in all of the charts and tables in all of your projects

Using the Organization Dictionary you can rename what you see on the data summary page to your unique organizational needs.

For many of you, you will not need to use this feature because you are interested in analyzing grants and grantees in your project.

Using this feature will change the way that data labels appears on the global map, and through all of the charts and tables in your organization.

Note: Dictionary is also available within Project Settings if you only need to restrict this vocabulary to one project instead of the whole organization.

You can adjust your dictionary under the Dictionary tab in Organization Settings

There are two fields you can rename: Grants and Grantees. So for example, perhaps a donor doesn’t use the language of grantees, but uses “Partners" instead, then they can rename that here. This will change grantees to partners throughout the project, e.g., on the data summary, global map and tables.

Please remember to add the new names in the singular not the plural (e.g Partner or Investment).
