You can easily make any updates or changes to each grantee, grant, or project manually from your data table.
Access this from your left sidebar, by clicking 'Grants' at the bottom. This takes you to a filterable table where you can view and edit all your relevant information.
Toggling between the options above the grants table allows you to see an overview, or to view your data by grantees or grants. Here’s where you can edit the information.
Edit your Grantee Information
First switch to the ‘Grantee’ tab, find the grantee to edit, and click anywhere in the row to open up a window to view details of your on the grantee
From here, you can either delete the grantee (the trash icon), edit information (the pencil icon), or close the window (the X icon).
In this window, you can edit the grantee’s name, country, state, city, region, contact information, website, partners, and description. We recommend you always keep fields like name, contact information, and country updated, so ImpactMapper can generate accurate charts from your data to show your grantees’ information and where they are located. We recommend you do this anytime this information changes!
Tip: Type in the city to autofill the state name.
Here is also where you can assign specific grants to your grantees. For example, a grantee may join a coalition of partners working on a new grant, and would need to be added to that grant manually in this window. This also gives you an overview to make sure all your grantees are assigned to the appropriate grants.
Edit your Grants or Project Information
Just like editing your grantee information, your grants data is also edited manually. Switch to the ‘Grants’ tab, find the grant to edit, and click anywhere in the row to open up a window.
In case you’re missing a grant, you can also manually add it in this window - read this article for more.
You can either edit all your grant information at once, or one at a time by topic, such as your funding or grantee information.
You can either delete the grant (the trash icon), edit information (the pencil icon), or close the window (the X icon).
Click the pencil icon at the top of this window to edit all information associated with a grant at once, including the:
You can also edit this information one section at a time, as you prefer.
In the same window where you edit your grants information, you can edit your grant funding as well. In this way, you can increase or decrease the grants amount as they change, add new funders supporting your work, or make any changes to the currency. Click the pencil icon next to ‘funding’ to edit this information. You can also add other funding data here, including adding sources in case you get new donors, or other sources of funding once a grant begins.
Tip: You can also speed up the editing by making changes to just a portion of your grantee information, such as when you need to update their address or website. You can do this by clicking the pencil icon next to ‘grantee’ for example, and edit just your grantee information. Here you can change the name, country, state, city, region, contact information, website, partners, and description. Type in the city to autofill the state name.
Once you submit your edits, we recommend you double check that everything is accurate by reviewing the details at the bottom of the window. Please make sure you always save your changes by hitting the ‘Submit’ button!
We use the ISO list of countries on ImpactMapper. In case you work with or in any countries or geographies not covered by our list, please contact our team using the chat window at the bottom right of your screen. We may be able to add it to our list, or we’ll show you how to add it as a custom region or country to your account.
