How can I Duplicate a Survey?

Copy all your questions, translations, and tags over to a new survey

Written by Alexandra Pittman

If one of your surveys was especially successful in getting responses on time, you may want to use some or all of its questions at a later stage. Or you may also want to keep a blank version of a survey as a template on ImpactMapper to easily share to different stakeholders. The steps below show you how to use the Duplicate Survey feature.

In the Overview screen of your survey, scroll down, and click the Duplicate Survey button. Here, you have the option of copying to any of your other projects in your account, including the one you’re working on.

The survey copies over instantly, and will be renamed ‘Copy of XXX (DD-Month-YYYY time)’, so you may need to change the title. However, the names and information of respondents/survey contacts are not copied over, so you will need to do so yourself.

Please also double-check whether the duplicate survey is public or not. Hint: It most often should be so people can answer the survey without logging in to ImpactMapper

All other survey elements will be duplicated, including all your tags and translations.
