Embedding tags in surveys for consistent analysis across reports and surveys

Tagging survey answers

Written by Alexandra Pittman

When designing a survey and creating a single or multiple choice question, you have the option to include a tag for that response as well.

This could allow for diverse analysis of both survey responses and the tag if there is a higher level and thematic analysis you are interested in doing and also allows you to chart any data in the project with that tag.

This feature is particularly useful if you have tagged reports (word or pdf documents) and also start collecting data through a survey. Both data types can be charted and analysed together using the same tag!

See the screenshot below for how you embed a tag in a survey question response below.

After you type the option to appear in the survey, press on the tag icon on the left, and the Tag selector will appear for you to select the tag you want to apply to your project.

Note: What you type in the Option for the user to select when they fill out the survey and the Tag that you select do not need to be the same.

This is a unique and very practical feature that ImpactMapper has that differentiates us from other software--the ability to analyze diverse data formats that you have collected using the same impact metrics or tags.
