Documents from the Trint platform can now be seamlessly imported into ImpactMapper for tagging and analysis through an API.

This feature saves you time and eliminates extra tasks such as downloading your files from Trint, saving them in your local storage, and uploading these qualitative documents to ImpactMapper.

Follow the steps below to import your files from Trint to ImpactMapper. Click the image to enlarge it.

1. Select or Create the Project where the Trint reports/data will be used

2. Go to ‘Manage organization’

3. Select the fourth tab - ‘Data Sources’- and go to Trint

4. Enter your Trint API Key then click save. You can get your API Key from your Trint account.

5. Once the Trint API Key is saved, go to the Reports menu in your Project. Press the ‘Import Report’ button at the upper right corner of the page.

6. Clicking the ‘Import Report’ button opens up a box that lists your documents from Trint (under the ‘Title’ column). Select the report you want to import to ImpactMapper by ticking the box under the “Import?” field on the right.

If this is a grants-based project, then link each report to a grant and grantee name under the ‘Grant’ and ‘Grantee’ fields.

7. Once you’re done selecting the Trint reports to import, click the ‘Import to this project’ button at the lower right part of the screen.

8. A dialogue box pops up saying that ‘Import is in Progress.’ Click the ‘Close’ button.

9. Depending on the size of the files or the number of reports to be imported, you will wait for several seconds or minutes.

10. When the reports have been imported from Trint, they will appear on the ‘Reports’ page of ImpactMapper.
