There may be instances that a survey participant was unable to finish answering a survey.

The good news is that ImpactMapper autosaves your survey as long as you are on the same IP address, so you can go back and finish the survey later.

To go back to an unfinished survey, you can just click again on the link sent to you. This will direct you to the ImpactMapper survey title page where you can access the unfinished survey by clicking the following:

  • This is a saved copy of this survey. Click here to restore it.

  • Continue from saved copy

Click the images to enlarge them

This method only applies to people wanting to access the unfinished survey on the same computer or IP address.

For survey participants who will use a different computer or IP address, you will need an ImpactMapper admin user who has the account to send the survey link from the Responses list of the survey interface. Once the survey is accessed by the admin user, go to the participant’s unfinished survey response (see our example below, Submission ID 49835), and click the globe icon.

Clicking the globe icon directs you to the unfinished survey. You can copy the link that displays and send this link to the survey participant so they can go back to the unfinished survey and complete it.

Should you (or the survey participant) opt to discard an earlier survey’s responses and start a new survey, click the ‘Start New’ button. This means that all previous data entered will be deleted! Please make doubly sure that you want to click this button before proceeding.
