Applying a Tag to Text

ImpactMapper currently recognizes a variety of data types when tagging report or survey data, including:
Quantity - Numerical data like digits, percentages.
Currency - Financial data in different currency formats.
Location - Locations, like cities, countries and regions.
Date - Calendar dates
Once a matching tag type is detected, a type will be automatically suggested and you can refine the suggested type as needed.
Calculating Reach
To calculate reach, use Quantity and Currency tags with values attached to each tag instance.
Removing a Tag from Text
If you want to remove a tag, click anywhere inside of the tagged text first. This will highlight the tag in the list in the right sidebar. Then click on the ‘X’ to the right of the tag. You will see that now the text is not highlighted and the frequency next to the tag has decreased by one.
Tracking Tagging Progress
When you are finished tagging a report, press the “Done Tagging” button the right. If you want to come back and tag the report later, press the “Finish Later” button on the right. On the report list screen, you will be able to scan the report table and quickly see which reports the tagging been completed you have tagging because the Report will will have a circle colored in green. If you press “Finish Later”, you will see a circle with the outline in green, and if you have not tagged the report at all you will see a grey circle. This makes it very clear where you should focus your tagging energies.
